My Background

Hi, I’m Sherry! I’m a seasoned Human Resources (HR) professional specializing in Talent Acquisition. At one point in my HR career, I followed another of my passions, and taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults overseas for five years. Then, after the Great Recession of 2008, I merged my HR talents and love of teaching to begin volunteering as a career coach in a local library for those who had become displaced from their jobs. Suddenly, Land Those Jobs was born!

I have reviewed thousands of resumes during my career, ultimately selecting the candidates to land that elusive interview. Other candidates may have had the skills, ability and experience to do the job but were overshadowed by those with better resumes that were accurately written, well organized and highlighted all the appropriate skills. Some of the selected candidates may have presented a stellar resume and landed the interview, but then lacked the necessary interviewing skills to properly present themselves and failed to land the job.

My goal is to present you, the job seeker, as your absolute personal and professional best to the recruiter and hiring manager. With a great resume and top-level interviewing skills you’ll be better prepared to Land Those Jobs!
